May: Finals and Goodbyes

 Hello everyone!

This is my last instalment of my blog about my Spring 2022 Latin American adventure! Thank you to anyone who has read everything that I have posted up until now! May has been one of the most emotional months in recent memory, and justifiably so! This month consisted mostly of my final examinations and then saying goodbye to all of my friends, both of which were stressful lol. Something that is always talked about in orientation for study abroad is the initial culture shock one feels when first entering a new environment, but never the feelings of leaving the country that you spent so much time trying to build new connections and form lasting memories!

    What I have found the most helpful during my time of reflection, is that my time abroad has been nothing short of a life-changing experience. It may sound cliché to say, but the ability to be able to travel abroad and see the world truly brings new life-altering perspectives that would otherwise not be present in the life of the traveler! I am so thankful for my experience and I am definitely looking forward to returning back to Montevideo one day. Being grateful and appreciative of the opportunity to be able to study abroad in the first place is what has allowed me to overcome and sadness that I may have had from leaving the country! That being said, thank you again for reading and I hope to continue blogging about my future experiences as well!
